Chakra Balancing Color Therapy Personal Power Pillowcases

Personal Power Pillowcases are a great resource for those who are seeking to fix the root of the problem in their health care issues rather than just taking a prescription or over the counter drug which may mask the true issue just enough to give you some relief until you have to take yet another drug to counteract the side affects of the first drug, and risk getting addicted to meds in the process. These pillowcases are so fun to create! You will literally be amazed at what a difference they make in your life. It is so wonderful that something so fun and beautiful can be such a powerful healing tool.

How to make / sew your own set of Personal Power Pillowcases:

When purchasing the fabric for my pillowcases I usually ask for an extra 2" of material for each piece I am purchasing so that I have room for squaring up the pieces. To make one standard / queen pillowcase I purchase a 30 inch piece, a 12 inch piece and a 5 inch piece. If I am making a matching pair then I purchase a 58 inch piece, a 22 inch piece and an 8 inch piece. IF you want a standard /queen size pair of pillowcases that have the design running horizontal across the pillowcase you will need to purchase 1 1/4 yards of material.

Note: Yardage is for one pillowcase so if you want a matching pair you will need to double the amount of material to be purchased. Dye lots can vary from bolt to bolt so if you want a matching pair, purchase all the material from the same bolt of material.

For a matching pair of King sized pillowcases I purchase 2 ˝ yards for the base, a 22 inch piece and an 8 inch piece. Depending on if the design runs vertical or horizontal. You will want to cut the base part of the pillowcase to be 22 ˝ inches wide and 35 inches long.

When choosing the material for your pillowcases, look at the end of the bolt of material and make sure you are purchasing 100% cotton for all your pieces of material, as 100% cotton is the most natural substance for you to sleep on and have against your skin. Silk would work too but is difficult to sew and embroider on so I choose to work with cotton.

Keep in mind that material is alive and has a mind of its own. It will stretch as you sew it and do things that make it difficult to produce an exactly perfectly squared up pillowcase with perfect straight lines. If you take it to be embroidered on the same will apply and not every letter or design comes out perfect. Accept the imperfections and just love it for what it is.

Fabric layout tip: When cutting material for a horizontal design you will have to turn the material before cutting it so that the pattern runs horizontal across the pillowcase. Watch closely what end you sew the two other pieces to on each end of the pillowcases so that the design is one continuous pattern running the same direction on both pillowcases when making a matching set; if that is the look you want. It works best to lay them both out on a table next to each other then pin the 3 inch piece on to each opposite end so that you know they are running the right direction to be a matched set on the bed together. Make sure that both seams are at the top of the pillowcase so that they match after being sewn together.

Step 1. Iron the wrinkles out of all the pieces so they are nice and smooth and measure properly.

Step 2. Cut and square off all the pieces of material.

Step 3. Take the 3 inch piece and fold it in half length ways then iron it so that you have a fold line to follow when you sew it onto the 28 inch piece.

Step 4. Open up the material to be one long piece instead of a folded piece of material. Putting right sides together, pin along the top so that the 3 inch piece and the 28 inch piece are flush. Sewing Tip: When you pin your material together make sure you keep the knob end of the sewing pin to the right outside edge so that as you sew you can easily pull the pins out of the material before the needle runs over the pin. If you run over a pin it most likely will break your sewing machine needle, so pull the pin out before the needle gets to it to avoid that from happening.

Step 5. Press 3 inch piece to lay folded back. Trim off all extra threads so that there are no long or loose threads that could show through your 10 inch piece once you sew the 10 inch piece onto the pillowcase.

Step 6. Roll up the 28 inch piece into a small roll so that you can pin the 10 inch piece around it on both sides so all the ends are together.

Step 7. Sew along the edge of your pillowcase.

Step 8. Pull the material out from inside the roll.

Step 9. Press the seams upward to lay the material flat.

Step 10. Line up the edges of your pillowcase and trim off the excess if need be so they are squared up with the body of the pillowcase.

Step 11. At the end of the pillowcase, pin the right sides of the pillowcase together with the right sides facing each other. Serge the end and the side leaving extra thread at the end by the opening of the pillow case. Take this long end and with a darning needle run the thread up into the seams of the inside of the pillowcase so that the string is buried in the seam. This will keep the end from coming undone.

Step 12. Iron the pillowcase and then take it to be embroidered on or stitch, paint or write words on it yourself. NOTE: Embroidery work can be done on the commercial machines more easily if you take them to be embroidered on before you sew the ends and sides together. This may prevent damage to your pillowcase and make for a more precise lettering.

On one side of the pillowcase put the phrases: I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. ou use long words at the bottom it is more difficult to keep the wording from running downward and uckering the material. I prefer the longer words at the bottom so you may see some puckering of the aterial underneath. There is a certain amount of puckering around each letter that is normal when doing embroidery work. You may choose what words you want and the order they are put on the pillowcase however you run a larger risk of extra uckering when longer words are near the bottom. Personally I like the words to get longer and stagger down the pillowcase so I choose to take the risk of the puckering occurring.

On the other side of the pillowcase put words that empower you. Here is a list of suggested personal power words. Abundance, Adventure, Awareness, Balance, Beautiful, Beauty, Believe, Charity, Clarity, Communication, Compassion, Courage, Creativity, Delight, Dream, Education, Efficiency, Enthusiasm, Expectancy, Faith, Flexibility, Forgiveness, Freedom, Grace, Gratitude, Harmony, Healing, Honesty, Hope, Humor, Inspiration, Integrity, Joy, Light, Love, Loveable, Patience, Peace, Purification, Purpose, Release, Respect, Responsibility, Simplicity, Spontaneity, Synthesis, Tolerance, Transformation, Trust, Truth, Understanding, Unity, Willingness, Wisdom, and Worthy.

Washing tip: The first time you wash your pillowcase use vinegar water to wash it in and it will hold the colors better. Use at least one cup of vinegar to a small load of water.

When working on your personal power pillowcases keep love as your focus. It is important that these pillowcases are made in the energy of love so only work on your pillowcases when you feel love in your heart, for you want everything about these pillowcases to radiate love. When your pillowcases are completed, wash them before sleeping on them with the intention that you are washing away any negative feelings that the material may have absorbed from anyone who had anything to do with the production of your pillowcases including every aspect even as far back as the condition of the soil and the person who tilled the soil where the cotton seed was planted. Intend for all negative energies being washed away to be transmuted for good to the highest divine benefit of all.

THE PERSONAL POWER PILLOWCASES STORY by Beverly Dunford

A car accident in 1999 left me with pain. Because of this, I was unable to sleep well enough to experience REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. As it is during sleep time that the body can heal itself, I simply was not getting the rest that I needed and it was adversly affecting my health.

In my attempt to heal, I read many self help books including: You Can Heal Your Life, The Hearts Code, The Power of Intention, Power Vs. Force, The Hidden Messages In Water, Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer, and The Secret. From these and others, I learned the importance of positive affirmations and began to incorporate them into my daily life. Still nothing changed and I began to wonder why my health was not improving. I realized I was saying the words, but in my heart I didn't "feel" what I was saying. It was difficult for me to "feel" something that I simply didn't know what it "felt" like to "feel". Because I couldn't "feel" the words, I was unable to heal.

Masaru Emoto's research on the vibrational power of words and how they affect the quality of water really stirred something inside of me. As I thought about all of this, it dawned on me that since our bodies by weight are over 70 percent water, and our brains by molecule count are 99 percent water, then written WORDS could improve the condition of my body too!

As I pondered it further, I realized that I could add the element of color therapy by using the colors of the different chakra centers of my body. I could use colors together with words that were appropriate for balancing out each of the seven chakras, then I would get lots of positive self-healing therapy in each sleep session!

By October of 2007 I had my set completed and began sleeping on a different color each night with different words. Within a few weeks, I noticed I was dreaming again. To me this was a miracle! By December I realized that every morning I woke up remembering I'd been dreaming, and I have been dreaming every night since! Each morning when I awake, I am so excited that I slept so well, that I just have to say out loud, "thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU for such a good nights rest!" When you experience a goods nights rest, I highly recommend that you give thanks too, for there is a positive power that comes through an "attitude of gratitude".

Now, I fall asleep each night quickly with just a few slow deep breathes. I wake less often in the night, and I sleep more soundly. My body is now able to experience the healing powers of REM sleep. I now have more energy, less pain, and my body is balancing itself out so that I experience less anxiety and depression.

Personal Power Pillowcases truly are a labor of love. They have dramatically changed my life, and I want to help others experience these same amazing benefits in their lives too. As you drift off to sleep with the words and the colors on your mind, your body will continue to "feel" their vibrational energy. This is one bodywork session you get to enjoy over and over again, every time you lay on your Personal Power Pillowcase!

Joseph in the Bible (Genesis 37) whose father lovingly made him a coat of many colors to wear, wore his coat of many colors and then he began to dream. Miracles can happen for you too!

"The best gift you can give yourself and your child is the abilty to fall asleep at night without the use of a sleeping pill or sedative drug of any type."--- Beverly Dunford

How Sleep Affects The Body

A good night's sleep is often the best way to help you cope with stress, solve problems, or recover from illness. Your body cannot make up for a lost night of deep sleep and the repair it would have done during your sleep. Make sure you get some sleep every night; even just a couple of hours of sleep is at least giving your brain time to complete one sleep cycle so that you experience some REM sleep. Staying up all night to prepare for a vacation, finish a term paper and etc. is detrimental to your well being because you deprive your body of that chance to regenerate its' self. demyelination to occur.

There are five phases of sleep: stages 1, 2, 3, 4 and REM (rapid eye movement). Usually when you are sleeping, you begin at stage 1 and go through each stage until reaching REM sleep, and then you begin the cycle again. Each complete sleep cycle takes from 90 to 110 minutes. Your brain acts differently in each stage of sleep. In some of the stages, your body may make movements, but in others your arms and legs will be immobile. Having good sleep habits will make sure you get each type of sleep that you need. Dreams generally occur in the REM stage of sleep. This sleep phase begins about 70 to 90 minutes after you fall asleep. When you enter into REM sleep, your breathing becomes fast, irregular and shallow. Your eyes will move rapidly and your muscles become immobile. Heart rate and blood pressure increase. Men may develop erections. If you wonder if your spouse is impotent check in the night to see if he gets a nocturnal erection after he has been asleep for about 70-90 minutes. If he does then it is not a physical reason that he cannot get it up with you and emotional reasons would be the cause. About 20 percent of sleep is REM sleep for adults. The first sleep cycle has a shorter phase of REM sleep. Toward morning, the time spent in REM sleep increases and the deep sleep stages decrease. It is during the deep stages of NREM sleep when the body releases hormones that stimulate tissue growth and muscle repair, builds bone and your immune system becomes primed to defend itself against infection.

As you get older, you sleep more lightly and get less deep sleep. Aging is also associated with shorter time spans of sleep, although studies show the amount of sleep needed doesn't appear to diminish with age. REM sleep and dreaming is important in the creation of long-term memories so sleep is an important factor in having a good memory.

CBS did a 60 Minutes program March 16, 2008 they called The Science of Sleep and correspondent Lesley Stahl asked Matthew Walker, the director of the Sleep and Neuroimaging Lab at the University of California, Berkeley some questions. Walker said in their research they found that after four nights without deep sleep the subject is hungrier, less alert, and most importantly, his body is no longer able to metabolize sugar effectively, putting him temporarily at increased risk for Type 2 diabetes. "We usually think of diabetes as something that's a disease of old age. But really it may be a disease of sleep deprivation," Stahl remarks.

It is during deep sleep that our myelin sheath can repair itself and it needs sleep time to do this. Myelinated axons are white in appearance, hence the "white matter" of the brain. The good fat helps to insulate the axons from electrically charged atoms and ions. These electrically charged particles are found in the fluid that surrounds the entire nervous system. Keeping the myelin sheath healthy is vital to our emotional and physical well being. This is why consuming good fats like omega oils, extra virgin olive oil and eating foods like avocados and walnuts is so important to brain function. Good fats are also needed to carry the bad fats out of our bodies so that we don't become obese.

A demyelinating disease is any disease of the nervous system which the myelin sheath of neurons is damaged. This impairs the conduction of signals in the affected nerves, causing impairment in sensation, movement, cognition, or other functions depending on which nerves are involved. Some demyelinating diseases are caused by genetic, some by infectious agents, some by autoimmune reactions, and some by unknown factors. Organophosphates, a class of chemicals which are the active ingredients in commercial insecticides such as sheep dip, weed-killers, and flea treatment preparations for pets, etc., will also demyelinate nerves. Neuroleptics can cause demyelination. Neuroleptics are a class of medications that were originally developed to treat psychosis. Neuroleptics work by blocking dopamine D2-like receptors.

The amount of sleep a person needs depends on the individual. The need for sleep depends on various factors, one of which is age. Infants usually require about 16-18 hours of sleep per day, while teenagers need about 9 hours per day on average. Most adults need about 7-8 hours of sleep per day. The amount of sleep a person needs also increases if he or she has been deprived of sleep. People do not seem to adapt to getting less sleep than they need. Most adults need between 6 1/2 - 7 1/2 hours of sleep a night consistently throughout the week for good health. If you are not getting proper rest your body can't function properly, just like a car will not drive when it is out of gas. When you feel tired, take a 20 minute power nap or go to bed!

Better Rest Sleep Tips:

* The myelin sheath rebuilds in a dark environment during deep sleep so at night time I put a dark sheet over my window to help keep out the light and make the room darker. I also have an eye mask beside my pillow to wear as the light begins to peep through the sides of the sheet. This is vital if you work swing shifts and must do your sleeping during daylight hours. Basements are darker and you may sleep better in a basement bedroom if that is a choice available to you. When we are sleep deprived our bodies cannot heal themselves. Our brain cannot function properly without the myelin sheath and studies done have shown that a person who has not had any sleep for a 48 hour period of time would lose enough brain functioning that they would literally be considered insane. When you are feeling tired or sleep deprived it is your body warning you that you must do something quickly to ensure you get better rest as sleep is vital to our mental and physical well being.

* Sleep with your head pointing towards magnetic North and your feet pointing south. Our bodies are like a compass and need to point North during sleep so that they can recharge just like a power tool you use all day long that needs plugged in at night to recharge so that it will be ready to use again the next day. Which direction my head is pointed while sleeping does make a huge difference to my body and I feel more relaxed and fall asleep more quickly and sleep more soundly for a longer period of time when my head is pointing towards magnetic North. Test out which direction your body likes best by sleeping in the different directions and then arrange your bedroom to facilitate you sleeping with your head pointing in direction.

* Avoid eating a few hours before bedtime, especially salty foods that make you thirsty and want to drink more water cause you to retain water. For the best health, eat 6 small meals throughout the day and have your last meal over with by 7:00 PM or two hours before you plan on going to bed. Foods that help you sleep better are foods with tryptophan such as roasted game meat like turkey and elk, seaweed, raw spirulina, spinach, egg whites, sesame seeds, raw goat milk products, Alaska king crab, halibut cooked with the skin on, salmon etc. These would be good items for your evening meal as tryptophan helps you sleep better. You could also take some natural supplements of L-Tryptophan along with 5-HTP which when combined in your body help make serotonin which will allow your brain to help you sleep better. Fresh ginger is a good anti inflammatory and a nice warm cup of fresh ginger tea an hour before bedtime can relieve joint pain which would make you feel better so that you can fall asleep more quickly.

* If you feel hungry after 7:00 PM eat only "fresh" fruit, nothing canned or preserved. Fresh fruit with no dips or sauces etc. digests the most rapidly thus allowing your body a longer elimination cycle so that you can properly eliminate first thing in the morning, which will help clear the toxins out of your intestines. I would avoid high sugar fruit like oranges that are very acidic and go for a slightly green banana instead. For good health, the rule of thumb is food in, food out on a regular daily basis so if you aren't have a few bowel movements a day, toxins are staying inside you way too long and you will feel best when your bowels are moving properly.

* Melatonin is a natural substance that helps you sleep better. Melatonin has been reported in cherries to about 0.17-13.46 ng/g, bananas and grapes and olive oil also have melatonin so any of these food sources make a great evening snack if you are too hungry to go to sleep without eating something. I recommend tart cherries without sugar added as they have the highest amount melatonin. Your body needs the good oils to carry out the bad fats in your body so taking a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil daily is a good health practice.

* Exercise helps your bowels move, if you move so will they! It isn't just about consuming enough fiber; you need to exercise if you want to have good health. It is best for your stomach and digestion system to sit when you are eating so that the stomach has a support system while taking in the food and to wait two hours before lying down so that your digestive system has the benefit of gravity working with it to help in the digestion process so you feel better.

* Fourty five minutes after eating dinner, put a 1/2 teaspoon of pure sodium bicarbonate (baking soda with no additional ingredients)into a small glass of water and stir it until the soda is all dissolved. Sodium bicarbonate is the main active ingredient in antacid tablets. Drink this to help prevent heart burn and acid reflex issues. Soda helps to neutralize the pH in your body and creates a more alkaline state which is needed for good health. If your body has a tendency to get indigestion, this will help you feel better.

* When we keep our bowels flowing naturally, we feel better. As you lay in bed, gently massage your stomach, starting on the right side and going in an upside down U or clockwise in a circular motion. This will help stir the energy and get things moving in your bowels to help dislodge toxins that could get caught in the small crevices of your intestinal tract. Doing so will help you be able to properly eliminate when you wake in the morning. An apple a day really will help keep the doctor away and help you feel better. A whole fresh organic apple eaten with the skin on has pectin which is a great anti inflammatory and gives the body lots of fiber to help keep the bowels moving. Due to all the pesticides typically put on food, personally I only like to eat the skin of an apple when it is an organic apple.

* Clear your complexion by sleeping on a fresh clean pillowcase every night so that the oils from your hair from the night before don't get on your face when you shift around in the night. When your face is clear, you feel better about yourself.

* The foods we eat affect our complexion as well. If we eat junk the body needs to expel it somehow and so acne can be because our bodies are working so hard to find a way to expel the toxins we are filling our bodies full of. We are what we eat, so don't expect a clean pillowcase to clear up a body that is constantly being filled with junk foods. Eating healthy fresh foods helps to clean your body from the inside out and gives you more energy and helps you feel better.

* Make your bedroom a private sanctuary that you love to retreat off to. Clutter in your house creates clutter in your mind. When you feel comfortable in your environment, you get better rest so clear out the clutter!

* Keep live plants in your bedroom to help with the quality of the air. When we humans breathe out we give off carbon dioxide, when we breathe in we fill our bodies with fresh oxygen needed to metabolize food, using energy. Deep breathing will help you lose weight. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and give off fresh oxygen so they clean up our environment and give us fresh oxygen to breathe in, which makes our bodies feel better.

* Sleeping with a fan running will help stir the air in your bedroom so that you aren't breathing in stale air all night. Germs grow wild in a stale environment so you will feel healthier if you keep the air circulating in your house.

* I recommend a ceiling fan with five blades which you can leave on 24/7 year round. Have your ceiling fan turn clockwise in the winter months to pull warm air down and then set the switch in the position to turn counterclockwise in the warm months to keep the air moving. With the fans I have had, the button in the down position is the counterclockwise setting.

* If you need to purchase a free standing fan because you aren't able to install a ceiling fan, I recommend you get one that is in a set position so that you don't have to hear the noise of it oscillating back and forth. The constant sound of the fan will act as a buffer for outside noises once you acclimate to the constant noise of the fan.

* Open your windows for a little while each day to let in fresh air. Fresh air helps you feel better because it circulates out stale air where germs can fester. I like to keep one window in my house cracked open 24/7 so that my house has access to constant fresh air. You can purchase locks that fit on the bottom of your window sill to secure an open window.

* When the air outside is cooler than the air inside, by placing one fan inside an open window so that it blows the cool air into your room, you can position another fan in the opposite end of the house and turn it on so that the fan is blowing the warm air from inside the house outside. This way the two fans work together to circulate fresh cool air in and take hot stale air out.

* You will find it more quiet and peaceful to keep the bedroom window closed up tight at night to help keep out noise. For those who suffer from allergies this is extremely important as the wind may blow in dirt and pollen.

* Have a water fountain running 24/7 in your bedroom to help keep positive energy flowing. This will also act as a buffer for outside noises once you acclimate to the constant sound of the water flowing. It is important to get one that has a great water sound you really enjoy listening to, and a very quiet running motor. Listening to water helps you feel grounded with the soothing loving nurturing energy of Mother Earth.

* Get rid of as much stimulating electromagnetic energy as possible so that it does not disturb your sleep. At night time, unplug from the wall all the things that put off electrical energy like clocks with digital numbers, computers with little lights that stay on, monitors, TV's, the cable etc. for they put off energy and use electricity to light up those lights.

* Use Feng Shui to help keep the positive energy flow in all your rooms. Keep plugs in the sinks and bathtubs and close the toilet lids so that your positive energy doesn't get sucked down the drain. Replace things that are broken so that you don't have broken energy around. Change a burned out light bulb as soon as it burns out and pluck off dead leaves from your plants as soon as you notice them dying so that you don't have dead energy looming about.

* In the evening dim the lights or use lamps that have dim lighting around the house so that it is a more calm and soothing atmosphere. Using multi colored mini Christmas lights around your plant stands or book shelves makes a fun dim lighting to use in the evenings that also gives you the benefit of color therapy. This helps you feel happy and more relaxed. Keep night lights on in your halls and bathrooms so that you don't have to turn on bright lighting which awakens you more when you get up in the night to use the restroom.

* Avoid listening to loud noise, violent or negative shows, radio stations, news channels, etc., especially the hour or so just before bedtime. Keep your thoughts positive and upbeat and you will feel better.

* The first thing you hear in the morning is what your mind will focus on all day long and the last thing you hear at night is what your mind will focus on all night long. What you focus on expands so be aware of your thoughts for your thoughts make you feel a certain way depending on what you are thinking.

* Listen to relaxing music an hour or so before bedtime to help unwind your mind for a peaceful nights rest. Relaxing music helps you feel calm.

* Breathe in for six counts, hold it for four counts and then breather out for twelve counts and do this deep slow breathing several times to re-oxygenate your body as you lay in bed to go to sleep. Fresh oxygen makes it possible for all your vital organs to function at optimal levels. You may even feel your toes tingle as your body gets the fresh oxygen that it needs to function properly. Focusing on your breathing will help you quiet your mind so that you can fall asleep more easily.

* If you are too awake to fall asleep, lie in bed and listen to something that is very soothing and peaceful to listen to like relaxing soft music or a positive book on tape by an author with a soft voice monotone voice and do some deep breathing. This will help you quiet your mind so that you can feel how tired your body is so that you can fall asleep more easily.

* For the most comfortable rest, when I sleep I have four pillows with chakra balancing color therapy Personal Power Pillowcases on them in bed with me. A somewhat flat pillow under my head to support my neck, a fluffy one under my knees to support my spine, and a fluffy one on each side to rest my arms on and then it is at my side so that which ever way I roll I have a pillow to hug to help properly position my spine while sleeping on my side. When I do roll to my side, the pillow under my legs then goes between my knees for proper spine support. When I first started sleeping with so many pillows it took me a week or so to adjust however once I got used to it I felt more comfortable as I laid in bed and I could fall asleep more quickly. In the mornings, I woke up without back pain! Pillows instead of pain pills or sleeping pills, what a concept!

* Sleeping with my Personal Power Pillowcases and having 12 power words around me affects all aspects of my health, my spiritual body, my physical body, my emotional body, and my mental body. I feel less pain, my sleep is more sound which is validated by the fact that I have more dreams, and I sleep longer periods of time without waking when sleeping with my personal power pillowcases, you may too!

* If you are doing all these above mentioned sleep tips and still not sleeping very well your body may be lacking certain nutrients and you may need to take some natural supplements. Most of us are deprived of magnesium which helps 300 other enzymes work in our bodies so to be depleted of magnesium could interfere with the functioning of those 300 other enzymes as well. Folate is good to help prevent Restless Leg Syndrome, Vitamin C for is great for skin elasticity and may help produce a healthier bladder for expansion so you don't have to wake up so many times in the night to relieve the pressure on your bladder. Melatonin and L-Tryptophan to help with serotonin levels so your brain will allow you to sleep better, vitamin B6 and Tumeric for circulation and heart health or Selenium for your cells.

When you first wake in the morning open your window curtains and shades or blindes so that the sunshine can shine directly into your home and on your body. This will help you feel more awake and well rested. The sunshine gives us Vitamin D and it is very important for our health and well being to have sufficient amounts of Vitaman D so that we don't suffer with SAD - Seasonal Affect Disorder or depression. Being in the sunshine 20 minutes a day lets your body absorb a healthy amount of Vitamin D. for

* IMPORTANT NOTE - If you follow through with all of these suggested sleep tips and find you are still not sleeping very well then you may want to go to a doctor and ask to be tested for sleep apnea and find out exactly what could be keeping you awake at night. An injury to your throat could have caused enough damage to affect the airway from functioning properly and you may need an operation or a CPAP machine to help you sleep effectively. A sleep lab test for sleep apnea will tell you exactly what is going on during your sleep. Perhaps your lungs or heart stop working and you can't get air so your body wakes you up to get more air. Or your throat may be closing off because you have gained so much weight that the fat interferes with the airway. Or your legs could be jumping and you may need to take some natural supplements that help with Restless Leg Syndrome or heart or lung issues. REMEMBER the importance of aerobic activity to build your heart and lungs. Singing out loud will help exercise your throat muscles so sing every chance you get!

What is a chakra word pic ?

Chakras are vibrating centers of energy. There are seven major chakras in our bodies which influence our psychological and physical well being. They have various levels of activity according to what is going on in our lives.

The ideal state is for our chakras to be open, so the energy can freely flow to all the vital organs, helping them to function properly. When the chakras are closed, our bodies are deprived of oxygen, nutrients and vital life-force energy.

When our chakras are not open enough, they are considered to be under-active. To compensate, other chakras may become over-active. When our chakras are balanced, we have the ideal condition for optimal mental and physical health.

Each chakra is associated with a specific color. The vibrational energy of these specific colors help to open the chakras, creating "balance" throughout our entire being.

Eclectic Energies has wonderful information about the chakras on their website at http://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/ where you can take take a test to see how balanced out your chakras are and what chakras are over-active or under-active. You may also take the Enneagram test to learn your personality type, and enhance your emotional well-being with the energy healing recommendations for each Enneagram type. There are also acupressure points and chakra meditations you can learn to help balance out your chakras.

As Color Therapy:

While lying on your pillowcase visualize the color you are sleeping on that day in this way: Ask the most Divine source of love and light for the vibrant color of red to be sent to you and imagine this brilliant red color coming in through your crown chakra filling your entire body with this vibrant red color. Let it fill your entire being and warm your soul, feeling its healing warmth in every particle of your body.
